Design Work That Inspires

In addition to photography work, I have 7 years of professional graphic design experience. I attended Ball State to study Advertising with a specialization in Creative Development.

I love advertising brands, delivering beautiful creative, and implementing thoughtful strategy. What I don’t love is advertising myself. So here are six quick things about me and my work, in and out, 3 minutes tops.

  1. Growing up, people always said three things: I had a wild imagination and was always curious and asking questions. Those qualities have stayed with me throughout my life.
  2. I am a movie and music junkie. You want me on your trivia team, trust me.
  3. When I was 15, instead of asking for the new Motorola RAZR V3 for Christmas, I asked for Adobe Photoshop. I’ve been in love with Adobe ever since.
  4. Several years ago, my father passed away unexpectedly. I mention it here because I’ve been creating self-portraits and conceptual photography ever since. It was a great way to fine-tune my strategy and Adobe skills. It was also a great way to connect with people about my vulnerabilities and emotions that are hard to discuss.
  5. This is how I sum up what I love to do. I help companies connect with people. I help by learning who they are and what they want to say and converting that to colors, shapes, and words. Simple as that. Exclamation point.
  6. I don’t like advertising this fact, but I’d do my job for free. It’s my passion. Also, aside from creative work, I’m completely unemployable.
